How to Use Organic Melt 2350
Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Prepare for the Storm (Pre-Treatment)
-
Apply Organic Melt 2350 before snowfall begins.
-
This proactive approach prevents snow and ice from bonding to the surface.
-
Works on all surfaces including asphalt, concrete, pavers, and stone.
2. Apply Evenly
-
Use a sprayer or backpack sprayer like The Camel Backpack Sprayer for best results.
-
Recommended application rate:
-
Light snowfall: 4–5 liters (1–1.5 gallons) per 1,000 sq. ft.
-
Heavier snowfall: Up to 6 liters (1.5 gallons) per 1,000 sq. ft.
-
-
Be sure to spray directly over the area you want to keep clear of ice.
-
Avoid over-saturating — a light, even coat is all you need.
3. After Snowfall
-
Shoveling may still be required in heavy snow accumulation.
-
Once the top layer of snow is removed, Organic Melt 2350 will reactivate and continue to prevent ice from forming.
-
No need to reapply unless another snow event is expected.
4. Reapplication for Multiple Storms
-
For back-to-back storms, reapply as needed to maintain ice prevention.
-
Ensure surface is cleared before reapplying for best performance.
Helpful Tips
-
Paver Stone Surfaces: Product may drain into lower grooves. This is normal and won’t affect performance.
-
Overapplication: A pudding-like texture may occur. Don’t worry—it will dilute naturally and continue working.
-
Entryways: Apply at least a few feet away from doors to avoid tracking when wet.
-
Sprayer Maintenance: Rinse sprayer and nozzle with water after each use to prevent build-up and clogging.
